| I originally owned the lower end popcorn machine model, and although it was ok, it wasn't what I expected of a Cuisinart. This hot air popcorn maker model (900) however is world's better than its predecessor. The bowl or lid is much more durable, the design is better, the rods that turn the popcorn are even designed more efficiently. This is what you would expect of a Cuisinart and makes popping corn simple and fun for watching a movie or late night TV. Quick shipping & product as advertised. (bowl pictured is not included) So far has been great, we have used it several times, the unit is easy to clean but I hand wash the heating plate even though it is rated for harsher washing. Popcorn is definitely much better than microwave and more modern aesthetics than old fashion makers. |

| This is my first Amazon review - hope you find it helpful! I purchased this unit in white, and am enjoying it so far. It is easy to use - simply add a couple of tsp. of oil and popcorn measured using the supplied 2/3 cup measure, turn on, and wait. The unit stirs the popcorn to ensure even cooking and pops quickly. I have used it about six times so far, and am pleased. I have not had any of the un popped corn that another reviewer complained of - maybe it has to do with the type of popcorn being used? One thing you do have to watch is that once the popcorn is done, remove it from the machine quickly, or it will burn. Most importantly for me, cleanup is easy. Both the bucket and hotplate are solid, and the plate has a non-stick coating that makes it easy to wipe clean. Several reviewers have complained about durability - my machine has no problems yet, and I hope it stays that way. All in all I am enjoying this as a big improvement over microwave popcorn. |

| Haven't had any problems with this popper. I use it with small amounts of canola oil, alternated with batches of no oil. Haven't needed to put it in the rinser, just hand rinse. I use Amish County popcorn only, almost all kernels pop. It does end up slightly 'moist' which is nice, since I'm on a diet and don't butter it. No odd smells, no problems with the stirring mechanism, and it gets used at least 3x a week. My only negatives are: when you remove the base to flip it over, beware. It's incredibly hot on the bottom and if you forget, well, you're not too likely to forget more than once. I also thought it was too expensive for what it was - don't think the value of this is all that much greater than the Salton and other 30-40$ options.
And the removable bottom being so hot should probably scare away parents who's younger kids want to use this.
